First licensed as WNØUCE in 1952 Jack became interested in CW. After upgrading to General, rag chewing gave way to traffic handling, contesting and chasing DX. During a thirty year career in international telecommunications, Jack operated KG6AAY on Guam and KA2KS in Japan as well as home stations in Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado and North Carolina.
Other interests include Square Dance Calling and Auctioneering which migrated from hobbies to part time business. Jack toured the US and several foreign countries calling square dance dates and recorded on MacGregor, Jocko and Bee Sharp record labels. Jack operated Ritter & Associates Professional Auctioneers in Minnesota and was a staff instructor at the Continental School of Auctioneering. Now retired, Jack devotes operating time to traffic handling, contesting and low band DXing.
